Suffrage Rally

Home About Berdan's Aide History Event Calendar School Talks Photos Other Impressions Resources Glossary of Terms Contact Us Links Members

Women fought hard for the right to vote holding Suffrage Rallies.  While the movement started in the early 1800's it took some time off during the American Civil War out of respect to "the bigger picture" however the pivotal people who started the movement lived through the Civil War and should not be forgotten.

Our members have done a suffrage rally for the following events:

bulletTinker Swiss Cottage - Rockford, IL
bulletWade House - Greenbush, WI
bulletEscanaba, MI
bulletJubilee - Peoria, IL

The following pictures were taken at the Suffrage Rally given at Tinker Swiss Cottage in 2008.
